Charger, Challenger & 300 telematics module location
Updated September 2026
The LX-platform cars share their telematics hardware, but Stellantis moved the module during the run and the only fuse people find is shared with the radio. Here's where it is on your car and how to shut it off cleanly.
Short answer
Challenger (2015–2023): behind the glovebox on a bracket. Charger and 300 with 8.4AN or Uconnect 4 (2015+): passenger side, behind a bracket or above the glovebox. Older Charger and 300 builds: above the driver’s left foot, behind the amplifier. Don’t pull trunk fuse #37; it takes the whole radio with it.
Location by model
| Car | TBM location | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Challenger (LC) 2015–2023 | Behind the glovebox, passenger side, on a bracket behind the housing | Remove the glovebox push-pins |
| Charger / 300 with 8.4AN or Uconnect 4, 2015+ | Behind a bracket or above the glovebox, passenger side | Remove the glovebox (7 push-pins plus screws) |
| Charger / 300 (LX/LD) 2011–2023, older builds | Above the driver's left foot, left of the steering column, behind the amplifier | Pop the lower driver's dash panel |
Why not the fuse?
The rear fuse box in the trunk has fuse #37, labeled Radio. It feeds the telematics module and the whole Uconnect system together. Pull it and your screen goes dark along with the modem. Like most 2018+ Stellantis vehicles, there’s no confirmed standalone TBM fuse, so the fix happens at the module.
The connectors
- Purple and pink: the two cellular antennas (FAKRA codes D and H). Disconnect both and leave them unconnected.
- Light blue (GPS, code C) and brown (satellite radio, code F): pass through the module to the radio, so they get jumpered back if you remove the box.
Your options
- Unplug the purple and pink cellular connectors. Reversible in seconds, but the box stays powered.
- Remove the module completely. This is what we recommend. Patch the light blue and brown cables to the radio with two FAKRA female-to-female jumpers, unplug the harness, unbolt the box.
- AlfaOBD. Direct on 2017 and older; 2018+ cars need a Security Gateway bypass first.
Before you start
Disconnect the negative battery terminal (10 mm) and wait five minutes. Photograph every connector before unplugging it. Expect a cosmetic “Uconnect Box Requires Service” message on the screen afterward; it doesn’t affect how the car drives.

Common questions
+Where is the telematics module on a Dodge Challenger?
Behind the glovebox on the passenger side, mounted on a bracket behind the glovebox housing. Remove the glovebox push-pins to reach it.
+Where is it on a Charger or Chrysler 300?
It depends on the build. Older 2011–2023 builds put it above the driver's left foot, left of the steering column, behind the amplifier. 2015+ cars with the 8.4AN or Uconnect 4 system moved it to the passenger side, behind a bracket or above the glovebox.
+Can I just pull fuse #37 in the trunk?
You can, but it's the shared radio fuse. Pulling it kills all of Uconnect, not just the telematics. Work at the module instead.
+Will I lose navigation or SiriusXM?
Not if you unplug only the purple and pink cellular connectors, or patch the light blue (GPS) and brown (satellite radio) cables back to the radio with FAKRA jumpers when you remove the box.
